Project Description

The existing Sundstrom Building was built in 1879 as a general store, with living quarters above.  The original project called for demolition of the entire structure except the existing south and west exterior masonry walls, which were 36’ above the existing basement floor.  When our low bid came in at $500,000.00 over budget, we proposed significant design revisions that provided the Owner with more value within their budget.  The building is a very nice 2 story conference center purposed to attract groups from out of town.
